i hope you had as good christmas as i did!!

i loved stuffing my face, seeing the reactions from my pressies, playing stupid games with my family and snuggling up drawing to christmas films.

my mum and dad gave me a ring for christmas made by my good friend, lucy addison.

it says 'PEACE JOY LOVE...' on the outside and '...HAPPINESS' on the inside :)

...lucy makes these adjustable for £15 and full for £20 and can write whatever you would like on them :)

last weekend was a busy weekend! i was also involved in a exhibition 'dont judge a book by its cover' in empty shop in durham.

theresa easton a fellow artist in the north east came to see our exhibition and has left a lovely post on her blog about us ...see it here...

this weekend i took part in 'handmade' a craft fair in the studio in hartlepool
loved it, it was my first craft fair and cant wait to do many more!

i shared a stall with one of my best friends and further buisness partner, lucy addison who is also an applied artist who creates mostly jewellery and ceramic pieces. here is her blog

lucy and i decided to create a clean, mini exhibition look to our stall which was completely different to others around us which we liked as ours looked unique :)

heres a few images of our stall...

...i am taking orders of all products which i sold on my stall.

...after christmas the 7th of january i will be taking orders for teacups as i will not have access to a kiln over the holidays.

here are some close up images of my teacups...

The other final year ‘BA Applied Arts for Enterprise’ students and I at Cleveland College of Art and Design were given 8 weeks in which to create an ‘Artists book’ relating to our Dissertation research.

A book is used to transmit or conserve information, spread ideas or express narrative. A contemporary ‘Artists book’ is a book which is not bound or limited to the physical structure or materials of a traditional book form. Rather, it is an exploration of ideas, expression or narrative that relates to the traditional book as concept. Therefore the possibilities of materials used, the structure, the form or the way in which people interact with the ‘Artists book’ are endless.

Come check it outttt!!
