soo yesterday my tutor was panicking needing help with a student portfolio advice day at MIMA, an art gallery in middlesbrough.

the event was aimed at 2nd year college students who are currently putting together there portfolios for university interviews and needing advice on what to put in.

more information seen here... www.portfolioadviceday.org.uk

i was asked to be a student ambassador, to help being a general run about, workshop assistant and to show my portfolio as an example.

...or as we were called 'portfolio angels'

we even got t-shirts to wear ;) ...

as i didn't have a complete portfolio i went home and managed to pull one together which displayed my range of skills and design process :)...

i was on the 'graphics' table helping organise all the students giving them bands and taking all their portfolios! ...i ended up buried under 77 portfolios of all sizes, boxes and bags!

this is me before the rush! ...

i then helped out sorting out tables, chairs and materials and was a workshop assistant in a graphics workshop with carlos rossetti, creating 3d paper graphics.

i then spent the afternoon showing my portfolio as an example to the students and talking about portfolios from a students point of view...

some of my friends also helped and displayed there work...

...ive had a lovely day talking to loads of different people and now just want to fall in a heep and draw soo au reviourr! :)
